I make vibrant original glass mosaics of wildlife and semi-abstract designs as tables, framed pictures and wall tiles.
Inspired by creatures in habitat, the sea and prehistory, I draw my designs on paper,
then stick the glass tesserae onto the paper design; the Wildlife Range is all hand-cut,
the Pharos and Aeonia Ranges mostly hand-cut from small preformed glass.
I cut from many tints and types of vitreous glass, using transparent,
metallic and iridised glass to special effect, to create intricate artworks both dramatic and subtle.
The stuck mosaic is grouted, mounted and glazed, then attached to a quality beech table base or framed as a picture.

I also use chunky ready-cut Italian glass - rich translucent or glamorous pearlised
- to make my Adorno Range of tables in glorious geometric patterns or softly mixed tones.
32 tints available: a kaleidoscope of choice!
Sunlight shows off my mosaics to perfection - ideal in a conservatory or bright room.
I also sell Wildlife Greetings Cards printed from the scanned mosaics.
I see great potential for turning these distinctive images into paperware, tableware and home furnishings as a vehicle for interior design. |
